Support fund

helps people to get ahead easily

Purpose

  • People who like to support others financially, who are committed to doing something meaningful in society on the one hand (=benefactors) and (=beneficiaries) people who cannot afford the seminars and support at Fokus Empathie financially but would still like to.
  • The support fund is strictly earmarked in this respect: the proceeds are used solely and exclusively for the seminars, coaching sessions and therapies for people in financial difficulties at Fokus Empathie.

Repair

  • The support fund was set up in February 2025 by the management of Fokus Empathie GmbH.

Public accountability

  • Fokus Empathie undertakes to report publicly on the support fund on an annual basis. This includes the total of incoming and outgoing payments, the number of people supported, a note from the trustee and (if available) anonymised acknowledgements from people supported.

Administration

  • The administration of the fund, in particular the assessment and determination of the use of the funds, is the responsibility of the Support Fund Committee appointed for this purpose. It consists of the shareholders of Fokus Empathie GmbH plus an identical number of persons elected by the shareholders' meeting.
  • The committee decides on the persons to be supported and the amount of support to be granted. At least an arithmetic 2/3 majority of the committee is required to award support funds. 
  • No minutes are kept of the decisions. This is intended to protect personal privacy. The committee members are subject to a duty of confidentiality, even 5 years after their term of office. The committee members work on an honorary basis.
  • The technical administration of the funds is the responsibility of the respective financial institution.

Supervisory body

  • The trustee is responsible for checking that the money from the support fund is being used appropriately and is responsible for the bookkeeping and annual financial statements of Fokus Empathie.

Resolution

  • If the support fund is cancelled, the capital it contains can only be donated. The dissolution and the decision to make the donation are the responsibility of the Executive Board. The dissolution of the support fund and the donation are reported publicly.
